Cats, cats and more cats!

We are very busy tending to lots of furry felines who for various reasons are happier to stay at home when their owners go away.

For a young cat on their own we don’t recommend our services for more than a few days unless of course due to medical reasons they cannot go to a cattery. Two visits a day are then certainly in order.

Old cats or multiple cat households are certainly happier when they can remain in a familiar environment with territories sorted.

For us it is such a pleasure playing, cuddling and sometimes just offering some company to these wonderful creatures. Our last visit at the end of their owner’s time away is always a little bit sad. 🐱

No longer Home Dog Boarding

  1. Due to our Pet Taxi service and cat/dog visiting service becoming so busy we are no longer able to offer Home Dog Boarding.

For 9 years we were Licenced to home board and we have boarded over 400 dogs in our home as family pets during that time. There were certainly some wonderfully chaotic moments, a few sad but mostly fun and rewarding times ensuring that all the lovely dogs that stayed were happy and not missing their owners too much.

Thank you to all the super hounds that stayed for being so good (most of the time! ).

Limited availability for home dog boarding 2018

Having been established for 8 years now we are in a wonderful position of having a large number of regular clients whose dogs board with us year in, year out.  Much loved dogs who visit us for long and short holidays.  This of course makes it hard to offer availability to new clients wishing to board their dogs with us.  It is still worth giving us a call as we will do our best to accommodate your four legged friend but available dates throughout 2018 are already limited.

As from January 2019 we will no longer be offering a Home Dog Boarding service.

New Transport Vehicle

We have recently updated our Transport Vehicle which we are very excited about.  It is a Silver Mitsubishi kitted out to transport pets to the vets, veterinary hospitals, kennels, catteries and airports throughout the UK and to Europe if required.  Fully Licenced – Level 2, by the Animal Health & Veterinary Laboratories Agency and insured.  Booking in advance is essential for animals to be transported out of the Kingsbridge area.  Give us a wave if you see us.

A New Direction…

For five years Annette ran the Animals At Home (South Hams & Plymstock) Ltd Franchise. Now wanting to provide the same level of professional pet care in a smaller demographic area Annette has changed the established business to South Hams Pet Care. Offering a a continued quality pet care service and pet taxi for locals, and visitors, in and around Kingsbridge and along the route of the A379 as far as Yelmpton/Newton Ferrers.

“Nothing has changed in the service that I offer except the distance I will be travelling, whereas Animals At Home offers a Nationwide Service I’m now offering a local service for locals and visitors to our area. Regular clients will probably only know the change when I tell them!”
